Objectives of this role
- Ensure software meets high-quality standards by implementing comprehensive testing strategies.
- Define and drive quality goals, including reducing defect rates and increasing test coverage.
- Collaborate closely with development and product teams to align quality assurance practices with business objectives.
- Establish and maintain robust testing frameworks, ensuring timely and reliable feedback throughout the development lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities to optimize testing processes, improving efficiency and effectiveness across projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for software quality.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Design detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Analyse bugs and errors identified during testing and document them for the development team.
- Execute manual and automated tests, with experience in automation being beneficial.
- Use tools such as TestRail, Postman, browser developer tools, and performance testing tools to execute and manage test processes.
- Recommend software improvements to enhance user experience and functionality.
- Work closely with software developers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve program issues.
- Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends, tools, and advancements in quality assurance.
Skills and qualifications
- Solid experience in software testing and quality assurance processes.
- Proficiency in manual testing methodologies, with experience in API, Performance testing tools being beneficial.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development principles.
- Familiarity with tools like TestRail, Postman, browser developer tools, and performance and stability (NewRelic, Kibana, Bugsnag)
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (C1-C2 level or native).
- A team player with the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Adept at using project management and collaboration tools such as Jira.
